Project summary

Isles of the Skye is envisioned as a contemporary rural-inspired community that reconnects people with nature, agriculture and traditional Indian village life. The masterplan combines sustainable infrastructure, productive landscapes and community-focused public spaces to create a self-sustaining neighbourhood where ecology, culture and wellbeing coexist in harmony.

The vision was to create a residential development that celebrates India’s agrarian heritage while offering the comforts of modern living. Rather than treating landscape as an amenity, the project positions it as the foundation of the community, encouraging healthy lifestyles, social interaction, food production and environmental stewardship.

The masterplan is structured around a Blue-Green ecological spine that connects residential clusters with community amenities and natural landscapes. Traditional elements such as an Arugu gathering space, temple, well, gaushala and farmlands are thoughtfully integrated alongside modern amenities including a clubhouse, amphitheatre and recreational spaces. Productive landscapes, fruit forests and vegetable gardens become everyday experiences, fostering a lifestyle deeply rooted in sustainability and community living.
