A steel businessman was relocating with his parents and family from a joint family unit to be an integrated part of a gated community. His wife is a mural artist and the couple were looking for large open spaces and we wanted to showcase her art form. The two metallic-based murals of smiling face concepts became the focal point of their living spaces. The steel rope staircase creates suspended spaces yet highlights the client's business. The spaces were made vivid, warm, loving, and lively to reflect the client's personality. Flashes of color were used to punctuate white interiors. Sculptural objects defend spaces and provide a sense of geometry reflecting volume and surface.
